An institutional entrepreneur is an entrepreneur who successfully introduces innovative products and services, processes or business models onto the market and also helps to destroy the established, non-market-oriented institutions, or to replace them by new ones in line with the market. Institutional entrepreneurship therefore helps to establish new market structures beyond traditional enterprises.
